This dropout prevention campaign is brand new, so you may not yet see a lot of activities listed for your state. That’s where you come in! Get in touch with your local Public Affairs representatives to see what can be done. YOU can help build upon the volunteer programs already in your area or help create new ways to deliver the Five Promises to children in your city or state. It may not take a huge effort, or even a new one. Think about what you may already be doing to positively impact the life of a child – your own child or the child of a friend, a relative, or of someone else in your church, your community, or your school system. Think about how your efforts may already match up to the Five Promises. Now, invite a co-worker, friend or family member to join you in those efforts! There – you’ve just doubled the delivery of one or more promises to children! |
